We want you to feel confident trying Noted. This policy explains when you can get a refund, how to request one, and the few situations where a refund may not apply. It works alongside our Terms of Service. If anything here is unclear, just email us — we’d rather sort it out with you directly than have you out of pocket.
The simplest way to avoid any doubt: start with our free plan. You can use Noted at no cost before deciding to pay, so you only upgrade once you know it fits how you work.
Noted offers a free plan. Because no payment is taken, there is nothing to refund. Any free trial of a paid plan is also free for its duration — if you don’t want to continue, simply cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.
If you upgrade to a paid monthly or annual plan for the first time and it’s not right for you, contact us within 7 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it in full — no lengthy forms, no interrogation. This applies to your first paid subscription on an account.
After the 7-day window, monthly plans are non-refundable for the current billing period, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges (see Section 5).
We don’t think you should pay for months you won’t use. If you cancel an annual plan after the 7-day window, you can request a prorated refund for the full, unused months remaining in your term.
The refund is calculated by valuing the time you’ve used at our standard monthly price, then refunding the balance, minus any promotional discount you received and any non-refundable payment-processor fees:
Refund = (Annual amount paid) − (Standard monthly price × full months used) − applicable fees.
If valuing your usage at the monthly rate would equal or exceed what you paid, no refund is due for that term.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again. Cancelling stops future renewals; on its own it doesn’t trigger a refund for the current period, which is handled under the sections above.
Caught out by an auto-renewal? If a renewal charge surprises you, contact us within 7 days of that charge. If you haven’t meaningfully used Noted since it renewed, we’ll refund it in full.

We aim to reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. Refunds are made in the original currency; we’re not responsible for exchange-rate differences or processor fees applied by your bank. Taxes are refunded where required by law.
If you bought or subscribed to Noted through a third party — for example the Chrome Web Store, Google Play, the Apple App Store, or a deals marketplace — that provider processes the payment, and their refund policy and timelines apply, not this one. Please request those refunds directly through the relevant store or marketplace, as we’re unable to refund payments we didn’t collect.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you. For example, consumers in the EU, EEA and UK generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on online purchases. Where the law gives you stronger rights than this policy, those rights apply.
To keep Noted fair and sustainable for everyone, we may decline or limit a refund where:
Before raising a chargeback with your bank, please contact us — it’s almost always faster for us to resolve it directly.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect on the date of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
